AmeliaMath Privacy Policy

AmeliaMath is a math practice app for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We take children's privacy seriously and are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.

Information We Collect

AmeliaMath collects only the minimum information needed to provide a personalized learning experience:

• Student profile: A first name (or nickname) and grade level, chosen by the parent or child when creating a profile.
• Learning progress: Math problems attempted, answers given, scores, streaks, badges earned, and mastery levels. This data is used to adapt difficulty and track progress.
• App preferences: Avatar selection, theme, sound settings, and language preference.
• Subscription status: Whether you have an active AmeliaMath Premium subscription. We do not collect or store any payment information — see "Subscriptions" below.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• No email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
• No passwords or account logins
• No photos, videos, or voice recordings
• No precise location or GPS data
• No device identifiers or advertising IDs
• No browsing history or usage analytics beyond learning progress
• No payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details

How Data Is Stored

Student data is stored in a cloud database (Turso) hosted in the United States. Data is transmitted securely using encryption (TLS/SSL). There is no user account system; profiles are stored locally on the device and synced to the cloud database for persistence.

Subscriptions

AmeliaMath offers an optional auto-renewable subscription called AmeliaMath Premium ($1.99/month) that unlocks additional content. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple via RevenueCat (our subscription management service).

Third-Party Services

AmeliaMath uses the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to track subscription status. No personal information is shared. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store: Processes all subscription payments. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API: When enabled, math problem text may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate word problems. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. No student names or personal information are included in these requests.
• Microsoft Edge Text-to-Speech: Problem text is sent to Microsoft's TTS service to generate spoken audio for voice walkthroughs. No personal information is included.

AmeliaMath does not use any advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media integrations.

Advertising

AmeliaMath contains no advertisements of any kind.

AmeliaMath does not contain links to external websites or other apps, except for links to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any student data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services described above, solely for the purpose of providing app functionality.

Data Retention and Deletion

Student data is retained for as long as the student profile exists. Parents or guardians may delete a student profile at any time through the app's settings. You may also request deletion of all data from our servers by contacting us at the email address below. Upon request, we will delete all data associated with the student profile within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

AmeliaMath is designed for children and includes a parental gate to prevent unauthorized purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent.

Parental Rights

Parents and guardians have the right to:

• Review the personal information collected about their child
• Request deletion of their child's data
• Refuse further collection of their child's data
